Your big day has finally arrived, and now is the time to enjoy your hard work and careful planning.

But before we start there are just a few things we need to do to make sure the day runs smoothly.

Here is what we need you to do:

The Day Before:

  • Give your scalp and hair a good brush to remove any dry flaky skin, then shampoo and condition at least 24 hours before.
  • Make sure that your hair is completely dry, do not shampoo or wet your hair within 24 hours of the wedding day. This will soften the follicle and cause the hairstyle to fail.
  • Arrange to have refreshments delivered on the day to keep everyone energised and hydrated. It is important to maintain your energy, as the day will go very quickly and you may miss your opportunity to have something to eat.
  • Check into your hotel room the day before and not on the day, early check-in never goes as planned and you will find yourself running out of time if you do.
  • Take this time to prepare your survival bag, fill it with essentials you may need on the day; Band-Aids, painkillers, gum, touch-up makeup such as powder and lipstick, anything you may need on the day.
  • Take your dress and veil out of the storage bag and have someone steam out the wrinkles.
  • Lightly exfoliate your face and stay well hydrated, this would be a perfect time to apply a relaxing face and eye mask.
  • Check the schedule your stylist has set out and arrange who will be going first to get their hair and makeup done. It is crucial that the entire bridal party knows when it is their time to avoid complications and interruptions to the schedule.
  • Prepare the working area for your hair and makeup artist according to the Covid-Plan, it is important to ensure that this is followed as the service can be cancelled if the safety of our staff is not adequate.
  • Drink plenty of water and keep hydrated, this will ease of the headaches and dark circles.
  • Please take a moment to read over our Covid-19 safety plan and Terms of Condition.
  • Have a good nights sleep and wake up nice and early the next day.

On the Day:

  • Allow a minimum of 1 1/2 hours per person when getting hair and makeup done on the day.
  • If hair needs to be prepped with curls, then give yourself extra time.
  • Wear a shirt or top that can be easily removed without damaging your hair or makeup, a strapless top or low cut button shirt is best. Avoid high collars as this also can destroy your hairstyle before you get the chance to enjoy it.
  • Relax and stay off your feet as much as possible, if there is any last minute running around to do, get someone else to do it.
  • Eat breakfast, and drink even more water.
  • If you are going to the salon, arrange for the bridal group to go separately in multiple cars, that way who ever has finished first can make a head start back at the room.
  • Give yourself enough travel time between salon and where you are staying to avoid running late or hitting traffic.
  • Lay out all the your items (rings, invitation, etc) that the photographer may want to capture.
  • Cleanse and Moisturise your face, use an eye mask to alleviate any puffy eyes.
  • Ensure that everyone’s hair is completely dry, you do not want to add any unnecessary time onto the schedule and cause yourself to be running late.
  • It takes time to become a Goddess, so allow your self enough time to keep to the schedule as much as possible. You don’t want to feel rushed on your special day so following the the schedule will make the day run smoothly.
  • But most importantly enjoy the day, it’s finally here and we are here to look after you.
